About

The idea for Music Markets came up in 1999 as a print magazine that explored the ways people involved in music could collaborate and get good new music out there. It was going to be launched by the company I worked for in 2001, then 11th September happened.

  1. Hello fantastic website! Does running a blog
such as this take a massive amount work? I’ve virtually no understanding of computer programming but I was
hoping to start my own blog soon. Anyways, if you
have any suggestions or techniques for new blog owners please share.
I understand this is off topic but I just needed to ask.
    Kudos!

    1. Thanks for comment. I took a bit of time to get into blogging as I did journalism and it took a while to loosen up my writing style for the more person style i think suits blogging.

WordPress is of course free an easy to use. It took me a bit of trial and error to get into it. But you will get the hang of it, in much the same way as using Word. Then it’s good to explore the left hand bar to see what all the different things do.

Best thing is to fill in gaps with links to youtube, soundcloud or Pinterest, all of which embed, with things you like, so there’s less pressure to start writing.

  2. Hmm it seems like your site ate my first comment (it was super long) so I guess I’ll just sum it up what I submitted and say, I’m thoroughly
enjoying your blog. I too am an aspiring blog writer but I’m still new to everything.

Do you have any helpful hints for rookie blog writers?
    I’d certainly appreciate it.
